Our PVD gold-plated jewellery is designed for everyday wear and is water-resistant.
However, regular exposure to chlorine, salt water, chemicals and cleaning products can affect the finish over time. For maximum longevity, we recommend removing your jewellery before swimming or using spas and pools.
To keep your jewellery looking its best:
- Wipe jewellery gently with a soft or silver polishing cloth.
- Store each piece in its jewellery bag or container when not being worn.
- Avoid prolonged contact with perfumes and body lotions.
- Avoid exposure to household cleaning chemicals.
- Remove jewellery before applying beauty products.
- Store jewellery away from moisture when not in use.
- Avoid rubbing pieces against abrasive surfaces.
The lifespan of gold plating depends on factors such as frequency of wear, skin chemistry, exposure to chemicals and how the jewellery is cared for.
Our 3-layer PVD 18K gold plating is designed to provide greater durability than conventional plating, but no gold-plated finish should be considered permanently immune to wear.
